This is a report. It is not legal advice. It is not the practice of law. It is not a certification you can attach to a filing. It is not a promise you will avoid sanctions, discipline, or malpractice claims.

We compare the case citations and quoted language in the brief you uploaded to public court records (CourtListener, official court sites, and the Caselaw Access Project, as available that day).

EXISTS means we found a matching case in those public sources.
DOES NOT EXIST means we completed a lookup and found no matching case. It is not a judicial finding that a case is fictitious.
CANNOT FETCH means we could not complete a thorough trustworthy lookup. Treat it as “you must look this up yourself.”
FOUND / NOT FOUND on a quotation is a text search of the opinion we retrieved.
UNKNOWN / NEEDS LAWYER is the only allowed result for whether the opinion supports the proposition.

Word files are read as text only. A file that contains macros is rejected. We do not open your brief in Word.

We do not check statutes, rules, the record, or exhibits. We do not run KeyCite or Shepard’s. You remain responsible for every citation you file.
